As cs3 noted though it may just be better to shove turn as he probably will call with a set.

True I guess but we arent so sure we're ahead on the turn. Villain is highly unlikely to have bigger club after checking turn and river but just checking the turn doesnt mean a whole lot.

SHoving seems like the mos RIO thing you could do.

eh?

I dont think he ever calls with worse here, only better. So the bet cannot really make money. If OP think his bet is for value then he should bet something that villian can call, and I think 1/2 pot would be more callable than a shove. Either that or Check.

I dont think shoving accomplishes what OP belives... I do think that shoving is fine... but it's a bluff it's not a value bet.

OP, from description it sounds like he can look you up light sometimes here. I like your turn check/river bet line more than a turn bet - doesn't a set bet the turn mostly?

As others have said, there's room for a VB but this is dangerously close to a bluff.

Thought some more about it, not as bad as I first thought. Still don't generally like it.

If he is the kind that would put you on Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or a bluff he might talk himselves into calling with AA/KK/AK'ish here. Since the likelyhood of you having Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with that line is very small. Problem is then he would probably play any hand with JT9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] the same. So no. No likey.
