$2.2 TPTK on the bubble
SB seems to be a tight player which is rare at these stakes.
Should we push turn even though it's bubble against the chip leader? How was the hand played on other streets? Re: $2.2 TPTK on the bubble
I'd be quite content to raise all in preflop. You almost certainly have the best hand and cover initial limper for effective 10bb. I'm not unduly worried by SB limp.
As played I'd jam flop. |

Preflop raise 450-600
3-bet flop as played - jam turn. why call flop then fold to 3 spade on turn? |

Preflop raise 450-600 3-bet flop as played - jam turn. why call flop then fold to 3 spade on turn? [/ QUOTE ] Sounds about right. Kind of just put yourself in an awkward position by checking pf. |

Re: $2.2 TPTK on the bubble
yeah there's no reason not to shove on the flop, but as your question asks, your line on the turn -- shove immediately. FE is not a question, chances are good you have the best hand... if not - time to start another tourney...
just a quick thought - it seems to me that you are fearing the bubble too much. try thinking about volume moreso than trying to break every tournament |

Just trying to learn how to play optimally because I know that in the bubble you have to play cautiously when one of the players is short stacked. But I agree that this hand was played too passively. The shortie isn't that short yet and AQ is a big hand 4-handed. Should have probably raised PF. Flop I didn't raise because I was trying to give shortie a chance to push flop with a worse hand. |

Re: $2.2 TPTK on the bubble
I hate this spot because with your read, you're so often beaten. I don't hate checking preflop as much as some, but I really hate not raising on the flop.
As played, you can either make a hero fold and tell not a soul about it unless the other guy can't resist showing his set of tens, or you just swallow hard and push and mostly lose. Only kidding. You have to push. Remember to fistpump when SB shows you KQ. |
