Re: The Donk trap is set.... NO NOT THAT!!!
meh Guldfeldt is fairly passive postflop, I cant ever remember seeing him open shove like this. I'd probably call but it definitly wouldn't be with a double fist pump. Pretty high variance call here imo.

if he's calling raises with 72o.. and all in with k8o.. why aren't u reraising preflop? [/ QUOTE ] I didn't see this pattern until after the hand in question. This hand occurred about 1 hour into a 6-7 hour session. I did start re-raising him more preflop, he kept calling with junk, and he kept catching cards. |

Re: The Donk trap is set.... NO NOT THAT!!!
Basically everyone has stated everything I wanted to say about this hand, it is almost always a call for me but there is one other small factor that I take into consideration here.
This is the guy we are at the table for, and he has a huge stack. We have a chance here (a really good chance imo) to double up and then play with equal stacks against him going forward, allowing us to get more of his $$$ quicker. We all know these players and most of the time he is leaving with nothing so why not give yourself the best chance to take his entire stack. I am not saying get into large -EV spots, but I would be much more willing to coin flip to get a larger stack. |
