Default Re: $25NL AA do I even bother to bet here?

This isn't the case. First, he'll call and stack off with AK. Second, a lot of people will call with AQ and get married to it. Finally, he'll call with a bunch of other stuff that he'll fold with. Most of the time he doesn't have KK or QQ. When he does, you stack off given the stack sizes and the size of the pot after you bet the flop.

Really, unless the flop comes 678 monotone, you should be betting the pot on the flop. This notion that AA wins small pots and loses big ones isn't really true. When Doyle was writing Super/System and he was playing 300+BB deep, there is more truth to it. With typical 100BB stacks, you are going to win a lot of small/mid size pots, win a fair number of big pots, and lose a smaller number of big pots. That's just the way it is. With 100BB stacks, if you got it all in on the flop and never folded when the action got heavy, at most you would be making a small mistake. Principally, the bulk of the non-folding mistakes would be on hands that weren't 3-bet preflop and you get raised on an uncoordinated board. This isn't one of those hands. In a 3-bet preflop pot with AA and 100BB stacks, most of the time you should be driving towards all-in on the flop.
