Question about HUDs and Poker Tracker.
Im sort of new to the world of online poker, and I've been thinking about picking up Pokertracker to improve my game, or make it more "fair", since many good players use it. I just have a quick question, based off a quote jogsxyz:
"PT makes it really hard for you to analysis the data. Mostly PT is only good for recognizing who's tight and who's loose. Not worth much for in depth analysis of style. Is this true? If this is true then I don't think I'll get one for now. Through practice, I've become decent at detecting tight and loose players. I was under the impression that it will give a player a more in-depth analysis of play style (which I don't neccesarily agree with and hope a program like that doesn't exist, but if other players are doing it, why put myself at a disadvantage?) |

Re: Question about HUDs and Poker Tracker.
Try the demo for 1000 hands and see what you think about it. Personally, I find way more info in PT than I can use. But maybe I'm just not sharp enough to know what I'm looking at.

Re: Question about HUDs and Poker Tracker.
Having the 3 main stats listed by each player is a great help.
VIP/PFR/AF Imagine you hold AJ the flop is: A 6 9. A player is betting this very hard with stats: 8%/4%/1.5 The guy is super tight, and not that aggressive you might fold. Same hand but the guy betting this time is: 40%/14%/6 He is clown you're more likely to call and see an Ace weak kicker. |
