The last time I saw this posted I tried searching for "Hitler" and found quite a few of the earlier posts. What did you search for? [/ QUOTE ] I searched Haven Hitler video but only in The Zoo. 1. I'm afraid to do a full 2+2 multi-forum search because last time I did that 2+2 crash for 4 hours and since I want to read it tonight, I steered clear. |

Re: ATF Chatroom (O/T)
I've received some great e-mails over the years, and, because I use Hotmail, I rarely delete any of them.
The discussion about the ability of a superuser being able to see all cards kept ringing a niggly little bell with me so today l looked at some of my very old e-mails and discovered a February 2002 series of exchanges with someone I'll call MS who worked for a pokersite I'll call PP, (for the sake of keeping a vestige of confidentiality). It was in the days when even those who worked for the pokersites seemed to have some doubt about the randomness of the deal, and, certainly, so did I. We didn't let a miniscule database worry us, either. I'm afraid I didn't keep my side of the correspondence: * Hi Mike, This hand (where you made the nut flush) was a little extraordinary. At least you were on the "right" side this time. I am going to continue to look at these hands and record them for our tech guys. And as I said, if we can improve our shuffling system, we will. MS * Dear Mike, Thanks for this info. I must admit it disturbs me. I will investigate. MS * Mike, After seeing your data, I was quite concerned and did some research. I broke down and pulled the hand histories for a .50/1.00 holdem game for 2 hours of play. This was from hands played during a 2 hour time frame on table X. $50/$1.00 Holdem from 11:00 p.m. EST - 1:00 a.m. EST on February 17th and 18th. Here is what I found: Winning hand on the river - No Pair - 4 1 Pair - 18 2 Pair - 14 3 of a Kind - 4 Straight - 6 Flush - 2 Full House - 8 Quads - 0 Straight Flush - 0 Hand did not go to the river - 14 I was actually able to see the hands where someone bet the river and everyone folded, so these are accurate "statistics". This table was 9 or 8 handed most of the time, and out of the 70 hands, an average of 6.2 people saw every flop. So take this into account. 70 total hands An average of 3.35 players saw every river. So you can see that many more hands will be made in this limit because the average number seeing the river is very high. Of the 70 hands here is the %: No pair - 6% 1 pair - 25.7% 2 pair - 20% 3 of a Kind - 6% Straight - 8% Flush - 2% Full House - 11.4% Quads - 0% Straight Flush - 0% No River - 20% I don't know exactly what these statistics are supposed to be, but I can guarantee you what I have recorded above is in no way incredible or amazing. This is very typical. I really do appreciate you bringing your "unusual" hands to my attention, Mike, and I will continue to review the hands and look at our shuffling system. We do want the best random shuffle possible. MS * Hi Mike, No, I did this research on my own because I wanted to see for myself. (You've got me doing research now. ) I did see your data and I was/am concerned about it. As for the guy's post on [a website], we are aware of it. His account was blocked and payment was delayed because of suspicion and an ongoing investigation. (For your info, and please keep this to yourself until we respond - if we decide to - this player had multiple accounts from the same ISP - looks like a dorm in [a city]. He and another user name were playing in the same games at the same time for over a month - over 3000 hands together - on two computers. It doesn't mean "collusion" during a hand took place, but it does look to us like he/they were aware of the others whole cards. A review board is currently looking into all the hand histories. In the meantime, we did block paying him at this time.) Talk to you later. MS |

Re: ATF Chatroom (O/T)
Who has the most deleted posts in ATF history?
I think it might be me. Or am I John Dalyesque in thinking I have the most (PGA fines), but really it is Tiger Woods? |
