Passive line with 2 pair
Villain is an aggro Tag I don`t know much about. He coldcalls quite light. Chances are I have him in pretty bad shape on the flop. I would standardly bet the turn and river as well. But there are probably a decent amount of weak floating hands in his range I get value from by inducing bluffs. Is this an ok line?

Re: Passive line with 2 pair
I think you need to put in a raise on the turn because you're missing a lot of value otherwise.
Just going bet bet bet is the best line and helps with metagame for double barreling etc. If he's floating, eventually he's going to have to make a play at a turn bet, and since you know he's floating, I would assume some sketchy turn play in your history. |

Re: Passive line with 2 pair
This is fine if he always bets river with missed draw. But overall, it's bad for metagame. Against a smart player, you want to be the one controlling the size of the pot on the turn/river. Against an aggro-tard, this is fine.

bet, bet, bet [/ QUOTE ] As said this would be my standard line. Otoh there are so many players that love to mindlessly pound on weakness representing whatever possible. So inducing 2 barrels seems ok to me with a decent hand from time to time. [ QUOTE ] This is fine if he always bets river with missed draw. But overall, it's bad for metagame. If I bet the turn I am pretty much comitted to the hand, no? |

Re: Passive line with 2 pair
Don't like this line, turn c/c seems pretty bad to me on this board. I would just bet every street and 3bet if raised, pretty standard. If you play it this way I like the river check/call, though.

Re: Passive line with 2 pair
basically what I'm saying is that for you to have suspicion he's floating you, he has to have knowledge of that suspicion from the way some hand was played. Therefore i think you have more value in bet bet betting (which i realize is your standard line) and getting looked up by some KQ that thinks you're just trying to move him off a hand.
