2/4NL: Jacks are good?

Push because he calls w/ 99/TT and AK. He might not even 3bet with 99/TT- making his calling range more ahead of JJ. However, pushing in protects you from bad flops.

Calling and pushing flops that don't contain Q,K,A is terrible. If that is the case then you're ahead of ak,aq,and kq anyway and you should push preflop. And what happens if the flop is 29T- what is he calling with that you beat?

I shove here every time and I'm pretty much never ahead. Either the sites hate me or I need to slow down.

The more I look at it, the more I thik calling is very bad. What if our opponent is tilting, holds 45s, and pushes all in on a 4 9 K flop?

I think you have to decide preflop if you are ahead or behind, and push or fold based on that. You want your opponent to be the one making the tough decisions.

Not necessarily .

For instance , you may call the raise and shove all-in on flops that do not contain a q,k, or A . This would actually be more effective if he has overcards to your jacks .

you are missing the point: villains will realize that it was a coinflip at the start of the hand, and therefore will call your suspect push.

That's exactly my point . There isn't much of a difference between shoving or calling so it's not necessarily a shove or fold situation .

I've been thinking about this for a few minutes, and I'm not sure. Can you expound upon this in terms of fold equity / calling ranges preflop to a push / flop play? Seems like pushing preflop could be SLIGHTLY better in terms of EV if we assume TT comes for the ride? What if we assume a few more 4-bet hands?

It feels akward to just call a 4 bet with 100bb, if I do it I do it because he is bad and hyperaggro/likely to bluff away the rest, but not call the rest pre (if his range is really wide, but he is not steaming) I give my stack basically on any flop.

In this spot it all depends how often you have 3 bet. If not too frequently I think you are looking at a QQ+ Ak+ range which you get crushed by. You need AQ and 99-TT to make this good. If it is close I would always push for metagame

i cringe every time i read one of your posts. you don't want these cards to call in case villain has 99/TT
