Built and lost bankroll
I am playing $1/$2 NL on PokerStars. I consider myself a pretty solid player and have built up my bankroll twice now and lost it all both times. I built my bankroll up to 4x my initial deposit and managed to end with $0. I think I have a problem. I can't seem to walk away at any point. I will play for hours upon hours. I usually do well, but I have also had brutal losses. I had the worst run of cards today... the worst. I didn't have a winning session. I lost $800 in about 6 hours. I know most of you are thinking "move down limits." My response to that is simple- I feel comfortable at $1/$2. I do well... I just think I have a problem. I think I can't walk away when I'm on tilt. I allow myself to keep playing. I'm going to go broke if I keep this up... I honestly can't believe I lost everything.

Re: Built and lost bankroll
My problem is that I can't leave. I can't give up. I can't call it a day. A lot of times this works out for me. I'll have huge days. Win a ton of money... but then I'll have bad days. I guess it's never good when you are averaging 1000 FPP a day. How often do you guys usually cash out? Do you also limit yourself to a certain amount of time you spend playing each day? Also, I have a problem of tilting myself trying to win back anything I lose. Any suggestions on combating this? It's tough when you lose a big hand for a lot of money. For me, it's tougher to leave my computer after those hands. This is where I usually go on tilt and even though I realize it, I don't stop for some reason.

Re: Built and lost bankroll
Not being able to walk away could be considered a gambling problem I guess... as far as quitting poker goes- yeah right.
