Guitar Hero II on XBOX360. I can't wait!

I haven't seen it posted in this thread but there must be other people who have noticed some ridiculous high scores on the xbox leaderboards, right? Example: on Killer Queen, the high scores are in the 300k range, and the #10 guy has 300k+ on EASY. Meanwhile, good players who I used to see at the top of the main leaderboards (wulf, lebenzor, iamchris4life) are all around 170-180k. Seems like there's similar wackiness on other songs.

So there's some sort of cheat they're enabling, right? Or are they so insanely good that they're finding notes to hit that I can't even see!?

Some people have figured out how to put custom songs in the game. But the game still thinks they're the original when it comes to leaderboards.

So if someone puts in another song where Killer Queen used to be and the other song has a lot more notes, then better scores become possible.

At least that's my guess.

Do your online stats give you all your stats (% hit, note streak), or just your score and stars? I have GHII for PS2 and am getting III for 360. I like putting my scores on scorehero, but it would be easier to just play for awhile and put in all scores (and stats) at once, instead of doing it after each song or having to write it all down.

I've recently gotten up to 35 Expert FC's (the most impressive being Rock This Town and YYZ) and am currently sitting #35 on the Xbox 360 expert ladder over at SH. I've got the #1 X360 scores for "Drink Up" and "Laughtrack" as well.

Nice to see that some of the GH2 geeks are poker geeks as well.

They use this (from gamefaqs):

The R0kk_0n glitch.

The glitch allows you to take any song part you want, and play that over any other song.

Steps:

1. Choose your song.

2. Enter practice mode.

3. Pick the section you want to play.

4. Start that section on any speed(slowest is easiest to perform the glitch)

5. Unplug controller right when the options screen comes back up at the end of the section.

6. Reinsert controller and press continue. If notechart keeps scrolling, you performed the glitch.

7. Reset your PS2/Xbox 360 to undo the glitch.

Too early to tell afaik. I haven't heard anything about % and NS on the official leaderboard as of yet.

check your local Target/Meijer's for early shelf stocking of GH3. some Target stores are putting GH3 on the shelf tomorrow, and some Meijer's already have them on the shelf. YMMV.

Ouch...sorry about that. Mine happened right before Bioshock was released. The good news is you will get a 'better' 360 and hopefully it will have a HDMI port (mine didnt [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] )
