Re: Brag : 13 out of 14 so far on NFL Pro Picks!
Ok, I'm not a sports betting expert but if you think the ticket is worth about 35k and Jacksonville is +150 you should bet 14,000 on them. This would lock up a 21k profit win or lose right? I guess the issue is coming up with the 14k, and also if the ticket is worth way less then 35k you could get bit in the ass...

Re: Brag : 13 out of 14 so far on NFL Pro Picks!
Can I claim temporary balla status if I am letting it ride for all the wrong reasons?
BEAT : All or nothing due to not having at least 2K to bet on Jacksonville. |

Lol, I suspect that $200 for a hedge bet might not be that far off. Don't get your hopes up too much OP!
BAL 14 @ BUF 19 ATL 16 @ NO 22 ARI 19 @ WAS 21 SF 15 @ NYG 33 NE 49 @ MIA 28 TEN 38 @ HOU 36 TB 16 @ DET 23 KC 12 @ OAK 10 NYJ 31 @ CIN 38 CHI 19 @ PHI 16 STL 6 @ SEA 33 MIN 14 @ DAL 24 PIT 28 @ DEN 31 In my estimation, those are the two only upsets. The Eagles have been flaky, so not all that surprising that the Bears won, and you can bet a lot of other people have been thinking the same thing. PIT @ DEN was also kind of surprising, but meh, home field advantage and a team that has clearly been underperforming. Not that big of a stretch. The rest of the games; expect that a loooooot of other people picked those results. |

Well buffalo and KC were dogs, but it's not very surprising that both won.

Casper, are you on crack? How many people do you think are in your shoes of picking 13 out of 14 and needing Indy to win to get 14 out of 14? $200 bet on the Jags when you are getting +3 or more? Sell your house and bet that on the Jags. Either way you win and you might win both...

Re: Brag : 13 out of 14 so far on NFL Pro Picks!
Week 1 and 5 were the easiest weeks to predict so I'd say look at the payoff's for those weeks and you'd get a good estimate on how much your ticket is worth. I think a $200 hedge is way low, but if you have no money not much you can do.. If it was me I'd be calling up all my friends and overdrafting my checking account.

Re: Brag : 13 out of 14 so far on NFL Pro Picks!
Overdrafting your checking account's probably not a good idea, but I'd definitely bet any liquid cash that I wouldn't need for the next few days. Also, if you're too low on liquid cash to hedge properly, you should probably just take the Jacksonville moneyline and not worry about "trying to win both bets".
Also, this spot wouldn't be a bad time to take one of those "cash for car titles" loans. I don't have any personal experience with these, but I think there might be no interest if you pay them back on time. If this is wrong, you might be better off just letting it ride. |

This seems like a good way to bet like no money and still actually care about the games, at least until one of your teams gets destroyed.

Re: Brag : 13 out of 14 so far on NFL Pro Picks!
wtf is this thread??
seriously... sounds to me like the OP just walked into at LEAST 4-5 grand, possibly much more, and he's hedging $200??? as a fellow micro-stakes bettor, THIS IS WHAT WE BET FOR, to be put into this situation..to have both sides, and a guaranteed 4 digit win!! i know this makes me sound like a [censored], but if the OP has indy, i'm rooting for the jags... |
