Villain here is quite unpredictable.
He's played a 37/25/1.75 style since some 50-ish hands. I played 1 hand vs him in which he front bet pot/fold to my raise. He's already called 2 streets w/ A high (and won the pot against a retard). Never seen him C/R so far. Everest Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00/$2.00 (HH Converter by Kreatief) CO ($143.30) Button ($195.75) SB ($232.50) BB ($215.40) MP2 ($221.00) (Hero) MP3 ($148.85) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero raises to $7.00, 4 folds, BB calls $5.00, Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ( $15 ) BB checks, Hero bets $11.00, BB raises to $33.00, Hero calls $22.00, Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ( $81 ) BB bets $58.00, What do you think of my flop action ? Call the flop and raise all-in turn ? Call flop/Fold to a decent bet (different from the usual bet pot pushed without thinking) ? Thanks |

this is the typical set against overpair stacking IMO, unless u have a read that he plays draws aggro in which case i guess shoving turn is fine, id prob fold as he almost always plays sets (or two pairs/straights) this way. Obviously the turn decision if for all our chips and i think we r behind here a lot more of the time without reads. Even though villain does seem pretty erradic, id prob find a fold . Close though given description and if u think hes going nuts with any 8, nines or a bluff thinking that ten is a good scare card. But seeing as u still have like 170 behind i think, i like a fold still and make a note.

shove turn, nh. [/ QUOTE ] are we shoving turn here as opposed to raising flop because no likely draw hit and our equity v. villains range is that much greater? |

[/ QUOTE ] yes [/ QUOTE ] Add the fact that there is no river card (except maybe the black Q that doesn't make the flush) is likely to improve hero's hand makes the turn push or fold. Against an aggrotard it's a push. With a better read then it could be a fold. |

[/ QUOTE ] I called flop in order to reevaluate in position on the turn and decided to fold given the fact that he didn't raise too much to push me off of the hand on the flop and I couldn't put him on a 8 or so given his bet on the turn. I believed he wouldn't play that way a draw (he would have raised more imo) so I gently folded. |
