NL25 66 preflop squeeze
Hello,
I was running rather tight at this table. Something about 12/10/3. The other fullstack was 22/6/3 I didnt care much about the shorties as I was willing to flip. Good squeeze, or is 66 just not the hand to this with? I think the raise may have been a little small something like 6.5 may have been better? Re: NL25 66 preflop squeeze
Well, I used to like 3 betting here until I got convinced not to by about half this forum. I think flat calling here is probably best as if you hit a set youre probably making some cash here seeing as the flop is going to be 4 handed and youre closing the action.

Re: NL25 66 preflop squeeze
This play works much better against medium-sized stacks (near 100 BB) and here you've got two players with < 40 BB. Sure, you can get away with this here and there, and sometimes when you get called you'll be on the good side of a flip, but it's a dubious play. You can beat these people without getting this fancy. I like a call for set value here.

Re: NL25 66 preflop squeeze
Profish is right, first you've got a great stack-a-donk hand here and great implied odds. Squeeze plays can better be made with hands you cannot profitably play OOP, but which have some options to continue (which makes 78s a much better squeezing hand than a small pocket pair).
Also, squeezing vs 3 players is way more risky than vs two especially with a shortstack amongst them. |
