So I just wanted to start getting a feel of the types of things I should be looking for in these limits. I've been playing a lot of $0.50/$1 and $1/$2 6-handed and HU. I now have a bankroll of $1,600 and I'm looking to take the next step up. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Well if you read my BBV, I was in the same boat with $400.

I took it to a 200BB deep 1/2NL HU room, and a couple of hands in took down a nice $800 pot to double my roll.


Just a suggestion.

id seriosuly recommend that u play nl10

forget all this comments the are bringing you directly into the poorhouse. for 2/4 you need at least around 20-25 times of 400 (100BB) which is 8000-10000. for 1-2 it is 4000-5000.
if you play 0.5/1 it is 2000-2500 if you allways take 100BB.
so build your bankroll, then go up.
greatest mistake in poker is to have no bankroll management!

grow a bigger roll before moving up.. just playing 1/2 with a 1600 roll is asking for trouble even if you are light years ahead of the competition, bad beats happen you know
