Quick question: So, we can use a step 6 ticket (after probably winning step 5) to either 6 or 6A. Is that right?

I just started playing these yesterday and have worked up to a Step 5. Does anyone have a recomendation as to when to play it? As in what time of day would have the softiest field etc.

General rule is that fields are larger and softer at prime times.

Did you start at step 1? How much are you in fo so far?

I gave up on step 1's and am just buying in directly to the step 2's and using FPP's for step 2's.

I don't understand all you guys who want to play in a high stakes sng but don't think you should have to play any high stakes regs.

I don't understand why:
[1] since steps are designed to allow low and mid level players a chance to win a large buy in tourney, why the big bankrolls are allowed to buy in at the top level and lob dyanmite into the barrel of fish.

[2] why someone that has already won multiple seats is allowed to continue in that process ? Isn't the idea to get players to PCA? Or is it really a means for the big bankrolls to scoop up easy $W ?

I'm at step 4 on 1-$7.50 buyin... but pondering the true logic of this whole thing.

I started with 8 step 1s
Then advanced in 4 I think.
Then advanced in 2 of those and redid 1 step 2.
Then advanced in 2 step 3s and lost 1 step 4 and had to redo another.
I won that and that's where I stand.

I think the Step 1s are so easy that it's worth playing. The play is so bad you could almost fold your way to top 2.

I'll probably invest like $100 into steps one day and see how i do. I don't realy know how to play sit and goes or know any satelite strategy at all, so I don't tend to play them at all, since I just stick with what I know (non sats MTT). I'll be scared as hell if I ever reach the final step but knowing I started at step 1 should help relieve the fear, but I can't help but thinking I should just take the $2k to be honest (or the $700), but I want to go to the PCA ahhh. god i am soo indecisive.
