Default Brag - HU vs JJ liu (NLTRN)

I managed to win my way to play against 3 fulltilt pro's.
First match was vs JJ Liu and I had lots of fun playing it.

I was short twice in the match. Managed to pull back both times (one through a big suckout K8vKQ AI PF, which was the only big suckout I gave)

Posted the complete HH on my blog : http://www.texasholdem-poker.com/blo...y_hu_vs_jj_liu

Would love to hear comments about my play if anyone can be bothered to look through.

Thanks, and it felt pretty good taking it down.

Danny

I really can't say I'm a big fan of how this match was played at all. Would comment but am tired. Congrats on taking it down though.

before checking your HH I have to note that I've seen JJ playing alot of the $220 HU games. So surely he (she?) knows something about husng strat.

I wonder about what the pros get in these things if they win.

hand 8:

You limped T7 and then folded to a 3xBB raise? easy call. You have the button and a semi-playable hand.

Hand 9:

I fold to that slightly over potsized river bet. That bet looks like a valuebet most of the time to me.

hand 21:

Don't try to limp 45o with like 25BBs esp against someone who has shown they will punish your limps.

hand 22:

wow, fold pf.

hand 27:

c/f flop, why are you floating nine high on the flop OOP? since you hit the 9 on the turn you should prob value bet the turn since that flush draw is out.

hand 31:

raising 92s with a little over 20BBs to 3xBB is completely unnecessary.

hand 41:

bet the turn so you can push the river.

hand 45:

check pf. you are only getting called if you are beat, which is ok for lower stack sizes but not at 14BBs.

hand 54:

instafold pf plz

hand 59:

please dont limp 23o.

Agreed. Though I was more worried about a K high FD then a flush.[ QUOTE ]

I do this early on to allow later limp/raise with air and even later limp/raise with monsters... [ QUOTE ]

Yeah, have no idea what I was doing call here.[ QUOTE ]

Well, was planing to take it away on the turn, since she never as an A here. Think I was planing to c/r turn, leading does seem better.

Good point, though I think I was a little worried about the flush, since thats the only hand I see her check behind on that flop.

If you were worried about that as well what range did you put her on on the river?

even considering metagame aspects it is a bad play.

something you should think about for future games is your pf bet size. 3x is fine if you are above 30BBs deeps, but under that 2.5x works and allows you to raise a few more hands profitably. I am also starting to come around to the minraise otb below 20BBs. And of course less than 7 - 10 BBs means push/fold.

JJ joined one of my $50 sngs yesterday, so apparently she mixes it up in the lower stakes too.

I won, but I wouldn't say she's *terrible* exactly. At least not compared to me. The biggest pot of the match was when I had the king and she had the queen on a 4 flush board, with the ace on the board. After that, I just SAGEd her to death.
