Tight play is missing straights
I've noticed that my tight post flop play is often missing out on and getting beaten by small straights e.g. 2 pair losing out to 87654, is this a flaw in my play or should I not worry about people who are making their straights after playing garbage hands out of position.

Re: Tight play is missing straights
Is there a question in there?
If there is I think the answer is... Get out of your own head. Variance. Everything is ok. |

Outer is on the $. Notice that you are not asking anything about how YOU play. If you question your reads, post some specific hands.

Re: Tight play is missing straights
What are the games and stakes you are playing? In passive tight games you can play more hand in late position. Playing
1-5 game with a single $1 blind you can play more hands. Tell us more. |

Re: Tight play is missing straights
I don't know exactly what you mean by "tight post flop play". If this means that you are failing to play aggressively to protect your hand, this might contribute to people drawing out on you.

Re: Tight play is missing straights
I read a thread on here somewhere where a player realized that he had, over many hands, made more flushes than straights. This is because all of his flush draws were "open ended"....sort of off topic, but interesting to some I hope.
