Re: AP thread 872.6 - Statement ITT
This article in French seems to make mention of FBI and/or police involvement in the 6th paragraph from the end. Is there a french speaker who can summarise it?

Re: AP thread 872.6 - Statement ITT [Re: h11] #12605489 - 10/21/07 11:21 PM Edit post Edit Reply to this post Reply Reply to this post Quote Quick Reply Quick Reply Quote: Quote - The KGC was set up by Norton. It did nothing while players were cheated. One of the detectives here called the KGC and reported that he was pleasantly surprised by how seriously they seemed to take his report of cheating. He said they not only asked many questions but asked the RIGHT questions. Soon after that the KGC ordered an independent investigation. So the KGC answered the phone after months of allegations and that excites you? Where was the KGC months ago when the allegations were first made? Why wasn't the KGC informed by a company it licensed had serious allegations of a compromised system? Now that Absolute Poker has admitted their system is compromised and players were cheated, why hasn't the KGC pulled Absolute Pokers gambling license until it can verify the system security has been restored? I'll tell you why. Because the KGC isn't a casino licensing organization, it's a front for poker companies to put fake seals of approval on their sites. Effectively the KGC is just a check cashing operation for the tribe. Reply - I take it you can not find even one instance of actual improper behavior by the KGC or you would have posted it. You ask why they did not investigate when charges were first made about this incident. For all you know or I know, they did, but of course such claims of poker site cheating are made every day by the thousands, literally. Constantly I hear people claim sites are rigged, and obviously no one is going to investigate the literally thousands of such complaints which are made daily. Though I play at AP every day, and read two plus two almost every day, I had not heard about this cheating incident until recently. So I am not surprised that we did not hear about official agencies investigating this matter until recently. As to your claim that I am somehow linked to KGC, that proves that you will make false charges, and that your opinions are unreliable. But again - feel free to demonstrate any misbehavior by this organization which you appparently merely ASSUME is corrupt, which you without any stated basis claim is fraudulent, and if you can not do that then I think you should retract your baseless claims. Stick to sins for which there is actual evidence, and stop confusing your supsicions with actual fact. |

Re: AP thread 872.6 - Statement ITT
The sixth paragraph refer to something Adanthar said "The internet poker is in a vast grey zone in the U.S. Asking to the FBI or any other police corps would be pointless; the would not do it."
The writer isn't saying anything about an investigation by Quebec Provincial Police. ChaV |

Re: AP thread 872.6 - Statement ITT
It was posted - "Any corroboration anyone has that would verify Wikipedia's claim that the Quebec Provincial Police are now involved and have an ongoing investigation?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_poker" a footnote at that link directs you to an ABC news report which says that the Quebec provincial police have told ABC that they are looking into the matter. |

Re: AP thread 872.6 - Statement ITT
I was responding to only explanations what make sense within the wording of Absolute Poker's admission, however all other possible methods of hole cards exposure are mentioned here in the full:
http://www.egamingtoday.com/Article/...ker/Rogue.html Absolute Poker needs not treat the poker community as technically illiterate and specify *exactly* how the hole cards were obtained. |

[/ QUOTE ] They have spoken to Serge Ravitch - Adanthar in this forum - that says there's no point in trying to get help from FBI. I'm not french, but there you are.
