I think that checking that turn makes is pretty clear he is intending on calling a bet unless there is some serious leveling going on here

Yeah, I think i remember the hand, and thinking that you might be third leveling me. Honestly though, WTF do you have there that I beat? A5s? Do you peel this flop with KT and then check behind turn?

As soon as OP checks behind the turn he has misplayed his hand IMO. If he has the best hand he needs to value bet (AK or better), if he has a worse hand he needs to fold the flop (sick reverse implied odds).
