Default Small Blind Play

Greetings to the Forum.
This is my first post. I play $2/$4 and $4/$8 Limit HE at a local Indian B&M casino. I've read Sklansky's SSHE and Jones's Low Limit HE books but I'm still wondering if I'm playing properly from the SB and even from the BB in a $4/$8 1/2 Kill Game ($6/$12). In the SB I will routinely fold hands like J2os, K5, two rags under T, etc. I've gotten looks from other players (I play 2-4 days per week) because I will fold a hand in a multi-way pot (anywhere from 5-9 players) while in the BB in a Kill pot ("It's just $2 more") holding cards like 83os. So I'm wondering should I really stick to pot odds in these situations or a mixture of odds and the cards?
Thanks
