Re: Interesting All-in Situation (Yes, this is limit)
The flop gave him something to fire at 1 in 3 rarely.
I raise the flop on this one 100% of the time barring reads on UTG or SB which is not supplied and yes this is A high spew. Don't care here. Variance is reduced by betting. Yes its underthinking. Don't care. I have seen SB raise or donk flop short stacked so many times with nothing its hilarious. Any UTG that limps in 6 max is doing so becuase he knows SB is shortstacked and has a decent drawing hand if he's smart if he isn't smart then he is not being even close to playing good poker by limping UTG. If he is slowplaying from UTG and you know he can then its a fold on the flop but without reads its a raise. I never call here. |

Re: Interesting All-in Situation (Yes, this is limit)
raising the flop is probably very very marginally better because when SB 3bets there in a non-zero chance UTG will fold, who is the player you are really afraid of here

Re: Interesting All-in Situation (Yes, this is limit)
It's a mistake to call. As I said its a 60/40 situation h/u one way or the other. But as Aaron says it's not heads up. If you call its very unlikely you win the hand and you are the one feeding the pot with dead money. If you think you are behind UTG you have to fold because you know this hand is going to cost you another bet.
So you either fold or raise here. Without reads I raise, with reads I pick. Raise > Fold > Call |

It's also not a heads up race. Position. Use it. Period. |

Re: Interesting All-in Situation (Yes, this is limit)
grunching.
Possible range of SB is overcards of clubs, plus some mid pairs. you're facing ~1:6.5 with his river bet. discounting the A and Q clubs, you only have 4 outs. I would give it 4.5-5outs, since villian might not hold a pair, and if no card hits, you can win with Ace high. Looks like not enuff pot odds... fold is good here? |
