AA - Pot control OOP vs TAG
Villain is solid 20/15/3 TAG.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00 BB (6 handed) MP ($215.50) Hero ($243.00) Button ($234.15) SB ($207.80) BB ($268.70) UTG ($93.40) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $9</font>, Button calls $9, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, UTG calls $7. Flop: ($30) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $23</font>, Button calls $23, UTG folds. Turn: ($76) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $55</font>, Hero calls $55. River: ($186) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, Button checks. Final Pot: $186 I was thinking I am getting most out of a jack and 88-TT by check/calling turn, c/f river. Is this ok? |

Re: AA - Pot control OOP vs TAG
c/r AI over that turn bet, anything that beats you most likely bets more and even the solidest people go for the stack-a-donk.

Re: AA - Pot control OOP vs TAG
I like the stack-a-donk line on this hand, mostly because most TAGs are raising the flop with 66, 77, 67, JJ, whatever > 1 pair. Once you get to the turn a whole lot of rivers are going to make it tough to get value, so see if he'll stack off with 1 pair now.

[/ QUOTE ] Besides 89/T9 for a gutshot, it's quite a dry flop, so I'd think that button can also call in position and get the money in over the next two streets? [/ QUOTE ] I think he'll mainly fold those (OP said he's solid) when we show so much strength. We push like $200 in the $133 pot. |

[/ QUOTE ] I thought about crai'ing, but: there are not many AJ combinations, KJo should be folded pf, and he should fold QJ- to my crai. So aren't we just stacking off when we have the worst of it? |

Re: AA - Pot control OOP vs TAG
I prefer betting the turn here, he's still not going to fold a J.
I think given your line on flop and turn that I like shoving the river. I don't think you're behind that much, and also think that he calls with Jx enough to make it ok. I'm definitely open to being convinced otherwise though |
