[/ QUOTE ] Yes, I'm using excact payout structures, I take some compleated tournament and take it from there, thats why I also post the number of participants. Well, obviously the reweighted positions total has to match the given ROI, as to how I do it.... I dont know what the technique is called, but I assume you have the best result (position) of X random positions. Then all I do is find an X that matches the ROI. Here is an exmaple from 90 player SnG... the first number is if you had equal odds for each position, the second is the modified odds for the given position. 1st 1.1% -> 2.4% 2nd 1.1% -> 2.4% 3rd 1.1% -> 2.4% 4th 1.1% -> 2.3% 5th 1.1% -> 2.3% 6th 1.1% -> 2.3% 7th 1.1% -> 2.2% 8th 1.1% -> 2.2% 9th 1.1% -> 2.2% 10th-12th 3.3% -> 6.4% 13th-15th 3.3% -> 6.1% 16th-19th 3.3% -> 5.8% In this case, the X would be 2.24 to get the modified position distribution to match the ROI which I set at 100%. I found this technique to closely correlate with real position distribution from winnings players. |

These numbers don't look right for the Sunday Million and Hundred Grand. Compare the results for 100%ROI to the 315 player and 1616 player tourneys in your first post. I would think the larger tourneys would have larger bankroll requirements when keeping the ROI fixed.
