Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
Compare
A falls 4/46: you win current pot Villain improves 15/46: villain wins current pot Blank 27/46: you stack villain on the river vs. Your equity against villains 15 outs on the turn (haven't got PokerStove on this computer). |

[ QUOTE ]
but only call more money if he hit a King/9/spade then SURELY pushing turn is way better than checking. [/ QUOTE ] he's calling any non-A river apparantly. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
He put me on a overpair, he decided he would call even an all in on the flop( he is around 51% favourite) he does not care about the turn because he thinks his all money is in already( even if it is not), he made his decision on the flop and he will fold only if an ace comes on the river.
This happened in a home game, I talked to guy later and he told me this. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
[ QUOTE ]
Hi all, Assuming everybody has 100BB, u UTG raised preflop 4BB with TT, SB(He is a loose calling station) calls only. He exposed his cards K9 spades and the flop comes with 8s 9h 3s, u bet the pot he calls. Turn 2c. U know he will call the turn every time no matter how much u bet, would u go all in or bet only a fair amount that makes his call incorrect? Thanks for the answers [/ QUOTE ] With only this info it's a push. If he will call ANY bet on any non A river checking is obv superior. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
no you should have checked.
i'll spell it out a little more.. when does he make a bigger mistake? putting the money in with equity in the pot, or putting the money in with 0 equity in the pot? |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
you can push the turn and have 70% equity, or get it in on a safe river and have 100% equity if he is calling anyway.
checking the turn minimises our losses and maximises our winnings |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
I was assuming villain is not going to call a bet on the river if he misses...
if thatīs the case push turn. if he puts in money on a nlank turn check obv. |
