Yeah, that was the impression I got. Well, either he feels like a jerk for letting the poor guy by drinks, or for lying to the poor guy about letting him buy drinks for a doctor.

I think you're a jerk for lying to him, he was being friendly and nice, you could have told him you were a doctor, and bought the rest of the drinks, badabing badaboom.
