Theory(maybe dumb) question
Hi all,
Assuming everybody has 100BB, u UTG raised preflop 4BB with TT, SB(He is a loose calling station) calls only. He exposed his cards K9 spades and the flop comes with 8s 9h 3s, u bet the pot he calls. Turn 2c. U know he will call the turn every time no matter how much u bet, would u go all in or bet only a fair amount that makes his call incorrect? Thanks for the answers |

I like these kind of questions, but I doing the math. *edit: imo people are too results orientated. They wonder what to do when they have XX in situation Y, but thinking about these kind of questions is also usefull. |

[/ QUOTE ] We have the best right now... and we are 100% sure our opponent calls out push. Waiting to see if we have 100% the winning hand seems like we can then lose a bunch of money when he doesnt call our river push and is really results orientated. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
If you know you'll both see the river no matter what and he'll call the river no matter what, then you may as well check.

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
^^^ yup
this depends on the probability of him calling various rivers. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
Why would I check? I wanna make him pay 4 his draw + I have the best hand.
Unknown Soldier: I assume he is calling any non A river. |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
think it through more, it should be obvious.
hint: why are you so concerend about him making a mistake on the turn? |

Re: Theory(maybe dumb) question
If he were to call any bet on the turn, but only call more money if he hit a King/9/spade then SURELY pushing turn is way better than checking.
Board: 8s 9h 3s 2c Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 68.182% 68.18% 00.00% 30 0.00 { TdTh } Hand 1: 31.818% 31.82% 00.00% 14 0.00 { Ks9s } Getting 68% of a 200bb. Or Check. 32% of the time we lose a small pot. 68% of the time we win a small pot.... is this right? GUess it depends entirely on what villian would do on non spade/nine/king rivers... |
