I am also folding, your line looks like a bluff, I probably wouldn't bet the river. You made what looks like a standard c-bet on flop and checked turn, opponent probably hit one of those overcards, and probably knows you don't have much of a hand.

I wanted my flopbet to look like a standard-c-bet to prevent myself from being easily readable. On the river I was somehow sure that he holds a medium pair.

Anyhow - please step into the shoes of Villain: he called the flop with whatever because he expected my bet to be a standard-c-bet. Then I check the turn. Then I check the river. Wouldn´t you bet the river with ATC then? Should I have better bet the turn instead?

stop thinking like people are always trying to bluff you. why can't villain call the flop with a hand that has you killed?

this is too early to go beyond level 1 or 2 thinking. check/fold the turn and river. bet 200 on the flop to look more like an ace trying to scare away draws.

with how you played, you have an enormously easy fold

tackle...calling here is way to FPS for me...there are so many legit value spots to get money in the pot for me to waste chips trying to guess if he has one of three overs...I guess you made a hero call and won but I think it's a long term losing play

No, I folded ... and felt good about. I just wanted to check it back.

So, thanks for your answers.

If this is what you think, this is the definition of when check/calling the river is far better than bet/folding.
There's also a flush draw that missed that could bluff.
Do you think a lot of medium pairs are calling with 3 overcards?
Most of them folded the flop. You raised UTG, not on the button.

I'm not necessarily saying you should check / call.
A huge portion of his range is very strong by the river.
But it is far better than bet/folding or bet/calling.
