100nl: JJ on a good board
Villan was running around 25/22 is over a small sample size of 50 hands. I probably looked like a 29/25 to him. This particular player had 3 bet me Preflop quite a few times but I've only seen him show down solid hands. In my view hes a solid player.
Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter BTN: $121.05 SB: $99 BB: $88.40 Hero (UTG): $120.40 MP: $134.65 CO: $120.95 Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG) Hero raises to $3.50, MP raises to $12, 4 folds, Hero calls $8.50 Flop: ($25.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, MP bets $18, Hero raises to $65 ... Two questions... 1) What do I do if he shoves? 2) If he just calls and the turn is safe... should I just shove? |

Don't c/r unless you're planning to stack off.

Re: 100nl: JJ on a good board
i prefer c/c on the flop, cr is fine if you're ok getting your stack in there because you certainly aren't going to fold after putting most of your stack in.

Re: 100nl: JJ on a good board
In a spot like this, I usually prefer betting out against a straightforward opponent. I feel like this gives you more information for cheaper than check-calling or check-raising. Usually someone's not coming over the top of your bet without a better hand... If you have them pegged as the kind of player who would do that, then presumably you want to get the money in and a c/r is good for that purpose.
