i love the spy and i think i'm fairly effective with him, except i'm just really slow at killing people, and i probably depend too much on the cloaking (it runs out so fast and recharges so slowly)
i like the engineer, but i think he's too boring to play i'm horrible with the scout and demoman though, i like the pyro and i don't play much as a heavy or medic |

Heavy can be fun if your teammates arent retarded, but they usually are. I usually end up being demoman on a team with like 15 engineers and get annoyed at how stupid my teammates are. Also, Rizen pwned the [censored] out of me last night

With the heavy you need a medic. Your too slow to get health packs and get away from multiple enemy fire. If you do have one that's constantly attached to you, the unit can be very effective. I prefer capping, killing and killing engineering related stuff. I still get the biggest kick from being a spy and stabbing multiple players in the back.

I mostly play as soldier Strategies for soldier: always try to be fully reloaded. When in a firefight and you reload don't get impatient and shoot off one rocket and then reload and then shoot one more rocket and then reload... unless that 1 rocket will kill your opponent for sure. Learn how to aim for the feet. It's hard to get a direct hit with a rocket so I give out most of my damage via splash hits. Once you get good at this you can try jumping and then firing at the feet to increase your margin for error. Learn how to fire around corners and then retreat and do this constantly. Peak around the corner and fire rockets and then get back. Know where the health packs are and try to move around at full health as much as possible. Always try to have the elevation advantage in a fight. This is huge. [/ QUOTE ] Just tried out soldier with this stuff in mind, maybe the second or third time I've ever played with it for a decent period of time. Actually went something like 40-15, I didn't realize how fun of a class it was. Which basically reminded me that the more I explore this game the more I like it. |

Soldier has always been the meat & potatoes of TF. Getting good w/ the soldier makes you better at everything else and gives you a better knowledge of every map, class, etc.
