Default Re: Do you keep playing in this situation?

[ QUOTE ]
You are by far the best player at the table.

[/ QUOTE ]

Never underestimate your opponents. Even if this were true, it usually works against you to grossly underestimate the competition. Even bad players can get good cards. And sometimes "bad" plays will trick a "good" player if he's not very careful.

[ QUOTE ]
Every other player at the table is a total donkey.

You only have enough money for one buy in per session.

[/ QUOTE ]

Honestly, if you only have one buy in per session, then you are a donkey yourself for no other reason than poor bankroll management. Managing your poker bankroll to keep your risk of ruin down to a reasonable level is part of being a good player. Don't sit down with only one buy-in, espeically with bad players who will often "suck out" or otherwise take your bankroll on a single cooler hand. Game selection and bankroll management are as important to long-term success as know when to raise and when to fold.
[ QUOTE ]
No matter how much you outplay the others, they always have as many chips as you do.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, this would be great if you had a big bankroll. But you don't. You have just 1 buy-in. And you shouldn't play with just 1 buy-in.

[ QUOTE ]
When do you call it quits? After doubling your buy in, tripling, never?

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't play this game because you will be playing with scared money.

If you do play, and if all of the other stipulations in your post are true, and if you do get lucky to double or triple up, then do not leave until they wheel you out of the room unconcious from lack of sleep.

I try this everytime I go to the casino. It never works, the casino will doomswitch you.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have a players account at the casino with about $7K in it. I buy-in for either $300 or $600 depending on the game I'm playing. That is enough of a bankroll so rebuying at either game is never a problem. And I don't leave unless I'm tired, or the game has too many tough players. And sometimes, especially late on a weeknight at 5/5, the game ends up with a bunch of regulars moving the money around the table. And among that group I'm usually not going to make any money so I leave.

I'm not sure if I agree. If I have 4000 and bring the entire roll to the game, that would be poor management. If I lose twice and keep buying into a table that already has my 400 dumped to it I am probably looking at losing a significant portion of my bankroll.

about 24 hours or bust. But, since their stacks increase exponentially....no, couldnt walk away until broke or too tired. Think of it...one double up and your at 200, soon youll have 9 terrible players with 2000 dollar stacks...and your still the best!

Im sure he is not saying your whole bankroll is the one buy in...he just means that in this game you could never rebuy...so once you started winning (and the table has you covered)when would you say enough is enough, im happy with the win.
