showing this down sorta sucks if you plan on playing hands like this in the future.

[/ QUOTE ]

not really as long as you would play 555 like this, which i probably would.

[/ QUOTE ]Playing any king this way next time seems like a nice follow up to this hand, and more likely/easier to pull off than 555.

Also xorbie of course we're not playing hands like this in the future, the idea behind this hand is that we have a read that villain will, this ONE time (and maybe again like 100s of hands in the future), give us credit for a big hand when we c/c a K hi flop, and will not try to bluff us off a strong hand, i.e. will not be second barreling at all. As soon as he sees this hand that assumption vanishes unless villain is a retard, and without being super confident of that read this play is burning money. Although 77 is so small that it's probably still burning money to call the flop. Anyways, I guess I'm saying that THIS play is the deviation play or the meta-play, so it doesn't matter if we can't do this again in the future.

you would check the river with 555?!

imo taking that flop line, the river is pretty bad for us since if we check here, he knows we do not have a king/better and he might try to bluff us off our PP.
But a bet is also pretty bad since we get called by every single better hand, but no worse.

so plz better rivercard next time

why would he have QQ here? do you think he's betting that dry ass flop with QQ here very often? i think this is like KQish or nuffin. if he bets it's tough cuz like if he's capable of value betting AT here then whoops, and also most ppl don't bluff in this spot, but he almost never has JJ-QQ, come on now

this is exactly what i would do, leaning here with my last post. its a tough call to make with any hand here for villain since Kx has to be a decent portion of your hand range and its just not a board/situation where people bluff a lot. and if he does snap you off, your meta game looks much, much better than before.
