Do you have any other HDMI outputs that you know work so you can test the HDMI wire? The HDMI input on the monitor or the HDMI output on the PS3 (though I doubt this) may be broken too, do you have anything else that has an HDMI input to plug the PS3 into? You may need to tweak the settings on the PS3, though if you're running on a reg tv in 480i it shouldn't be a problem for the monitor, but you may want to screw w/ the settings anyway just to be sure. You need to troubleshoot this to figure out if it's the HDMI wire, the HDMI input on the monitor, or the settings/HDMI output on the PS3. [/ QUOTE ] thx a lot for ur effort. [/ QUOTE ] it supports hdcp, thats not the problem. butit only has a dvi port, not a hdmi port and when I use a hdmi-dvi-cable it doesnt work. the ps3-support guy said it works with some monitors and with others it doesnt - I am just unlucky. this is th reason why the ps3-monitor setup is not explained in the ps3-handbook. BARGH! I might give the ps3 back, Im not in the mood to buy a big HD-tv...
