Re: FTP 24K, deep in tourney, deep stack, AK oop
I like Cobra's line the best here.
I think given reads of villian, raising 30% of our stack PF is the definition of transparant. Villian may not realize it's a go and go on the flop, but I doubt we're ahead that often. Also, I check/fold a non spade, non A/K turn. Otherwise Barry's line basically. |

Re: FTP 24K, deep in tourney, deep stack, AK oop
Nothing much else you can do there... I don't think he makes a here call with TT or some other over pair.
The c/c, c/r turn line is pretty strong and he can easily just assume you had a set. I think leading smallish on the turn has a better chance of him doing something stupid with a worse hand. |

[ QUOTE ]
You say your opponent is a solid hand reader. What does he put YOU on when you check that flop? [/ QUOTE ] Who the F knows, how many people lead into raisers? Checking doesn't give much away about our hand. Once you call his bet, he can put you on a range of hands, the SD, a set, an over pair, over cards with a gutter ball. [ QUOTE ] Why is he giving you 3-1 on a docile board? [/ QUOTE ] Pretty standard 1/2 pot bet this late. Most people are somewhat consistant, so that they can c-bet and people wouldn't easily decipher when they do or don't have a hand. [ QUOTE ] For those saying smooth call the flop bet, what is your plan when a non-spade/K/A comes, check-fold? [/ QUOTE ] Correct sir. |
