nl50 AA played poorly I think

I thought set right away for some reason. I made a crying call here on the initial bet. You would have raised, right? Then the UTG+1 gets all rowdy and raises all in. I called because I love American Airlines. I figured he could have an overpair, two pair (and I have draws), but he could also have a set. What do you do here? By this time on the turn, it's going in, so I called the all in bet from my opponent. I think I was way too timid with this hand. What do you think? |

Re: nl50
Yes i think you should raise UTG+1's initial flop bet. If SB still reraises and UTG+1 calls, we can probably find a fold.
When you just call UTG+1's flop bet, and SB raises and UTG+1 calls, i think you need to push or fold. SB could be making a play at the pot, putting you on a weaker overpair than you have since you just called and didn't reraise. Just calling here is sorta pointless because theres no way UTG+1 is doing anything but pushing the turn (or check/calling if he has the nuts) and you will have an even harder decision depending on what that turn card is. |

Re: nl50
3 bet flop 10ish, u said it yourself.
if SB pushes, and UTG+1 calls, u just push harder. UTG+1 doesnt strike me as a particularly strong player, SB even less, it's quite possible he's holing J10 or a good kickered 9. |

Re: nl50
This was one of those hands I played poorly and lucked out. I agree with all of your replies as they confirm my assessment of my passive play. It turns out that UTG+1 had K9 and I rivered him when the board paired. Better to be lucky than good I guess, since he may have folded on the flop if I had bet properly. I can't remember what the other lame guy had.
Thank you for your input. I'm becoming better because of your help! |

Re: nl50
strange hand. Normally I would 3bet and have to fold to a shove and a flat call. However, given the stack sizes, I don't think that would be right here.
I would still 3bet here though |
