btw, OP, if villain smooth called your flop raise, I assume you are betting any turn card, correct? [/ QUOTE ] Not unless you think you have to show down UI. Practically no one folds anything they could have here if the turn is like a 3. |

Re: I have a major leak (probably more than one, but this I know)
I apologize for not responding earlier. I had to take care of the Kid.
I hadn't played alot of hands with him to get a good read on his raising range EP. My thoughts on him were that of him being aggro with a wide range of PP, AA-99, and suited Broadways,---therefore the CC with AJs. I agree that normally CC with AJs with position and only one limper isn't alot of equity to justify this decision. I wasn't convinced that UTG+1 had a PREMIUM hand that I am a major dog to. If he had smooth called me here and then checked, I am definitely betting the turn. If he check raises, then I am most likely in call down mode from there on, which was my same feeling when he lead the turn after I capped the flop. Does that help a little? |

I said 2nd nuts in regard to his probable holdings and the fact that if I am beat, in all probability it would be to a FH.

[/ QUOTE ] as Xhad pointed out, that approach is problematic, and what i was getting at. you really dont have any fold equity here. he isnt folding a pocket pair, and might not even fold AK. thus, i think checking behind on the turn is pretty much mandatory. not to mention that opponents love to call the flop and CR the turn these days with AA, KK, AQ, QQ, etc. |

Re: I have a major leak (probably more than one, but this I know)
You are completely correct. I misunderstood as I was reading too fast. I read it as given the flush coming in on the turn, would I bet.
Checking behind on a brick, then yes, the pot is too big for him to fold, unless he is on a complete bluff which I can't see. A check behind is correct. |

Re: I have a major leak (probably more than one, but this I know)
1st off, you're playing .5/1, so there's going to be retards there. 2nd, if you're scared of the nuts, why do you cap a paired flop w/ a flush draw...then just call when you hit the flush. Most people donk w/ medium strength hands and c/r the goods at these stakes. my 2c
