Default TPTK facing river check raise....

Villian in hand is 23/18 over ~100 hands and this is our first big pot vs one another. hes been playing pretty LAG. river value is slim, i know, but do i call here?

yeah, that's not really a very attractive spot for him to bluff. i don't think its a very attractive spot for you to value bet either.

I would definitely raise either the flop or the turn for value, i think the turn might be better.

as played, its a definite fold on the river

yea you cant really look at it this way, homie. everyone evaluated the hand as if "you" (who was really villain) held AK, but at the time you made your bluff you could only guess as to what his hand was. in fact now that i see the whole thing, i think you misplayed every single street except the flop.

villains range on the river is almost entirely comprised of two pair or better hands

does it make a difference if you have AK or 2pr here? if he calls with 2pr he should be calling w/ AK too. when i c/r'd him i just knew he didnt have a strait or a flush and was hoping he didnt have a set. i thought hed fold anything else
