Also keep in mind that SS offers cash game advice and PAD is a winner-take-all tournament format. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I did, hence putting it in the original message, |

Most of the time other people aren't important enough to me for me to pay attention to what they say or write. You were quoting me this time, so I read all of what you had to say. This post is starting to not be about me anymore, so I'm losing interest again... |

I forgot his name while writing this post though. |

Re: Super System vs. Poker after Dark
SS was written for cash games. Don't be obtuse.

Ok fair enough I see where you acknowledged that. You however understate its imprtance in the difference in play. It makes all the difference.

Re: Super System vs. Poker after Dark
A better comparison would be High Stakes Poker to his book... Honestly though... comparing how he plays to his book.... I doubt that he'd play how he wrote... even the book itself isn't a guideline to follow "how you should play" its just info on a way you can play... Overall it takes a lot more than a book to play like doyle brunson... It takes experience, and practice which you can't get from a book. This thread is pretty pointless.

Re: Super System vs. Poker after Dark
Super/System was written for a different era of poker, where strategies were much less sophisticated, and much less defined. The basic foundation of what Doyle wrote is still applicable (in a TOP sense), but I would definitely never use it as a strat to model my play after in today's climate.
