Anyway, could it be any more appropo that Byrnes was the final out?

Yeah, our hitters went down pretty pathetically in the last few innings, but really, Cruz and Lyon are quality pitchers.

Wow, the World freaking Series. Honestly, I never thought I'd see it here in my lifetime. Hurdle's Heroes have done it. The crowds on Blake were freaking nuts.

There's always someone suffering worse. That doesn't make one feel better about ones own crappy situation. What, no one is allowed to feel good about making the WS after a long drought until the Cubs get over the hump? gmab.
