Stack-to-pot Ratios - How can we utilise this for omaha?
For those of you that haven't read it, professional no limit hold em is the bees knees.
I imagine most of the regulars here have read it; How do you think SPR's can be incorporated into PLO? I've been thinking about this over the past couple of days; do you want say 3 pot size bets on flop when you have a set? more or less against an unpredictable opponent? More or less in/out of position? The list goes one but i'm aiming for a high quality post with some interesting discussion; thanks |

I think I'd like to know the flop before I play my set... how about some examples before we throw all our money in |

Why are you all jumping on this guy? This is maybe the first interesting question the omaha forum has seen in ages.

There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. Other than a few posters stating that it doesn't apply to Omaha, it was pretty much ignored.

Re: Stack-to-pot Ratios - How can we utilise this for omaha?
seeing as this post is going nowhere; i'll assume everyone has read slotboom; Essentially, his shortstack strategy IS SPR based;
For example he states that in a 6-max game he'd still try to sit to the left of a maniac; but he'd up his buy in to 30 or 40 big blinds; Now not being the greatest analyst on these here forums i cant link the two well enough in words and numbers to 'prove' that the two thought processes are the same; maybe someone can help me there; SPR is not new, the terminology however is; and there is no doubt in my mind it is useful in all forms of pot/no-limit poker! food for thoughts perhaps; if anyone is genuinely interested in researching this please pm me. |
