capped pf w/AK
no real reads, have only been at table for 5 hands, no stats on either villain
should i really be going to the river with A-high in this situation? Re: capped pf w/AK
Bad fold. Co has A8 and BB has AQ. You are way ahead yo!
Seriously tho. You are ahead of BB always here but prolly share outs with him. I think I end up calling expecting BB to call behind me with 99% probability. |

Re: capped pf w/AK
Without knowing the results.
What hand are you behind to on the flop? He capped preflop and peels that flop = overcards with 99% probability. Ok. I see now that BB donked the turn. Good fold |

Re: capped pf w/AK
I think that donk smells a lot like Ac making a semibluff. (yes I thought this before I checked the results). The problem is that we are sandwiched and CO bet the flop and the risk that he raises is considerable. If I knew villains where either LAG:s or TP:s it would be easy to decide but against total unknowns its a hard call to make. The pot is pretty big thou and you may have some outs if behind but those are very tainted and I think in the long run your fold is correct against unknowns.

Re: capped pf w/AK
you have no clubs so your overcard outs may be dirty. plus you have the flop bettor still left to act behind you. i actually like the turn fold as a default. it's rather close depending on your reads...

Re: capped pf w/AK
I think the turn fold is fine, even though this is probably just random betting by the BB with his flush draw or thinking that paired boards are bluffing boards.

Re: capped pf w/AK
You cannot continue on this board even with the obvious line taken by BB. HU with BB yes but not with CO behind you.

Re: capped pf w/AK
When the BB capped preflop but didn't bet the flop so you have to know your ahead of him so i bet the flop here for the information about the 3better preflop. If he just call, i know that my chances to have the best hand here against AQ, AJ or KQs are very good.
If the BB donk the turn, i need a read to continu but with just that hand. |
