the real answer is to confront this person with no malice and ask her why she is so bitter. she needs serious help not people actually treating her bad.

This will never ever work. At the very least, get a restraining order, you need to cover your ass. If she manages to convince the cops you did something, you'll be in a huge mess and on the defensive. A restraining order (or criminal charges) will help keep you in the clear if she drums some bs up.
