Bet the pot, if he raises, move in. He's either drawing or sitting with top pair weak kicker or second pair.

Yeah i mean not only do you have a big draw but you have top pair, so you could already be ahead of have loads of outs incase your behind. Bet again for sure, and bet some more, then bet again

At least bet. 1) You may have the best hand, 2) You have a draw to 17 outs by my count (two Js, three 10s, three 8s and nine diamonds, including the fourth 8). Those are outs to beat a player with top pair top kicker. Against someone with a set, you still have 12 outs to the straight and flush.

And if the person is drawing to something like AK or AQ, you have to make them pay.

In cases of someone with a big pocket pair, I would suspect they would reraise you either preflop or after it to prevent the flush draw.

I think I'd make it a couple bucks. The villain might even fold!

Giving yourself 17 outs if raised seems rather optimistic to me (I mean, you might have that many occasionally, but surely you don't on average, and you'd be roughly a 3:2 dog even if you did).

So, while I'm okay with a turn bet, I think 3-betting is a bit reckless unless you have reason to believe you've got folding equity.

Bet/call turn (fold to a push I think - check pot odds and only count FD + GSSD outs). If he raises we don't have FE and we don't have 17 outs. So call and improve on the River.
