Re: J6s flops flush in blind defense
Whoever said to bet this flop is being super results oriented. Seriously, how often do you see a 3 way raised pot get checked through? There were some good points made about checking this turn though, which I think is correct.

Re: J6s flops flush in blind defense
Okay so it depends how you play. I'm an action type player and it is correct for me to bet both the flop and the turn hoping to get reraised. I give action so I get it. It wins in the long run.
If you play more TAG then I'm sure going for checkraises is fine. I've got players chompng at the bit to reraise me when I hit the nuts as I've raised in this situation with draws so they look to punish me, sadly they end up poor here. |

Nobody is denying that hero should give action. All I/we say is that betting out is a mistake as you get to c/r and tra the third guy. c/r > bet out and its not even close. |

Re: J6s flops flush in blind defense
Here's part of my thinking re: the turn. After the flop, button doesn't have a club. When sb checks the turn, he doesn't either (nor does he have any pair as this is a spot he would bet with any pair/any draw based on previous hands). Button bets way more hands than he calls with, IMO, as the ace is a decent bluffing card for him, but if he has nothing, he just folds to my turn lead. He didn't cbet the flop so he's obviously too passive to raise a naked ace on the turn, so I'm not getting two bets in that way.

This is a reverse spew! Just bet it and get action from loan clubs, str8 draws and pairs and get a nice healthy pot . You HAVE to bet these every time. Opponents will never believe you have flopped the flush and may even reraise a flop bet here. Not betting here is chucking money away. If everybody folds fine next hand please. [/ QUOTE ] This is some really nice results oriented thinking! Obviously it's correct to go for the flop c/r. |
