Default push with 99 ?

Seat 2: AshHouse ($5,895 in chips)
Seat 5: winhappy123 ($1,845 in chips)
Seat 6: PokerJokk ($3,080 in chips)
Seat 7: Hero ($4,180 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
PokerJokk posts blind ($150), Hero posts blind ($300).

PRE-FLOP
AshHouse bets $600, winhappy123 folds, PokerJokk folds, Hero??

villain has min bet several times, seems to be loose. Don't like folding the 99's and to call/fold to bet doesn't seem to great either.
But I have a good stack. Would you risk it here against a pretty decent read?

Make it 1800 and fold to a push, or shove out of the BB. I guess part of it depends on the size of the buy-in and your read. Is he calling loose or just raising/min-raising loose?

If he's opening wide I shove it in here. Going to 1800 and folding to a shove (w/ half your stack in roughly) is pretty horrible and puts you in the same spot as the shorty pretty much.

Here's your calling range if he had pushed (min edge .2%)
100% = 99+ (99 = +1.3%)
80% = TT+ (99 = 0.0%)
60% = JJ+ (99 = -1.3%)
40% = QQ+ (99 = -2.5%)
20% = KK+ (99 = -4.8%)
2% = AA+ (99 = -19.7%)

However with 1,000 chips in the middle and fold equity I think you can adjust these ranges way down. It's probably a good push.

I like the push too...you are ahead most of the time AND villain hasn't put in so much that he is pot committed, seems like a good place to make a stand and get the dead money on top of the raise. I would consider the raise to 1800 only if you had opponents handily covered, but in this case, if he plays back at you, you probably have to fold thinking that, at best, you are on the better side of a race. If it is going to be a race, make him pay to enter it.
