This strategy worked perfectly because the other players saw him as a bully, and called some of the all ins while behind But then outdrew him so he lost, so it backfired like I said.

Im not sure what show you guys are watching, but if DN wins half the pots he was favored in he is up during the show.

[/ QUOTE ]

he certainly wasn't favored in many pots this past episode.

Very fun show.

A few episodes ago, I loved it when Farha said pre-flop someting like: "Hold it, let's do some negotiating, Do you want to save some money". Elezra and Harman laughing about it, but Sammy hits the flop again hehe.

Or when he said: "Trade cards? You know what, I'm gonna check in the dark" and again winning the hand.

Or Elezra to Sheiky: "When you flop an ace, your kicker wont be good enough, but that's the last lesson we are gonna give you today."

Stupak -- Bob was too f'ing funny. He got some TV time and talked up a hottie bar maid. Good for him.

Let's not forget how last time he said Mimi Tran was the best player, EXCEPT FOR HIM. She's playing better than anyone, EXCEPT FOR HIM. That was awesome.

But his threat to call the clock was

the two guys who have impressed me most are farha and negreanu, who are coincidentally the biggest winners and losers thus far... farha for his fun lag style and great use of psychology... negreanu for his overall game. sure, negreanu tilted a bit, but can't really blame him after losing half a mil mostly from monster pots where he either had the best of it or just got stuck in a tough situation. still... he had some hands where i thought... wow, such control.

Mark of a great player is knowing when he is beat and the ability to lay down a big hand. The hands with Mimi and Deeb tell me DN does not have that in his bag in this game.

So much for being impressed, I am not.

if you think the mark of a champion is to laydown that hand against Mimi you must love Phil H.

I understand what you're saying but didn't Daniel make a decent enough bet to get someone with an inside straight draw to fold?

So even though Daniel mentioned she must have the KJ (I think it was) I thought he was just saying that because he was used to getting sucked out on.

But you're saying you would have laid it down? I'm just curious but how much did DN have invested when Mimi went all in?

So much for being impressed, I am not.

What is the big deal about a player taking some chips off the table in a cash game, it is better than them leaving all together, right.

Is this a rule violation or just an etiquette violation?

[/ QUOTE ]

You are not allowed to do this in any casino that I know of.

short example why this sucks:
player A is running hot, average stacks 500$. Player A wins a pot of $2000, and takes it off the table. So now everyone is down to $300 and player only has $500 in play. I would be pissed because I cant win teh $2000 back and its basically a hit and run

[/ QUOTE ]

If it's a rule violation, then it is wrong. So long as he didn't do it during a hand, it wouldn't bother me because it doesn't hurt anyone's EV.

[/ QUOTE ]

Spoken like a true tournament player. A real cash game player would understand why this is so unethical.
