Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
Sorry I can't get the converter to work.
0.25/0.50 PLO 6MAX HERO is OTB and has $129.35, VILLAIN is in the CO and covers. Dealth to HERO Ad Ah Qs 8d. CO raises pot (1.75), i repot (6), CO repots ($18.75). What is my action here? VILLAIN is sane, playing 33/11.5/3 over 1K hands, and a winner in this game, so I put him on good AAxx of some sort. Are my Aces good enough to repot? |

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
If I repot I am committing myself to this hand, right? In other words, if he 6bet shoves, I have to call obviously, correct? Do we want to commit 260BB preflop with this hand? Would anyone opt to just call and shove a favorable flop?

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
You obviously have to call any 6bet shove preflop in this spot; I take double-suited aces to the felt preflop every time. I usually don't like to 4bet deep with aces because I don't like making tough decisions on flops that come out 4,5,6 etc against tough villains, but at the same time, I don't think that 4betting here is bad either way. Just depends with how comfortable you are with playing after the flop.

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
Your aces are definitely good enough to repot here. Your opponent might have repotted with qjt9 ds or 8765 ds as well and you have some blockers against those hands. The more interesting question I would like the expert posters to answer is whether calling the villian's repot to 18.75 is smarter given that hero has position? A repot will commit 56 dollars preflop which is around 40% of your stack. This means you would stackoff on almost any flop.

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
OK, here is the rest of the hand:
HERO repots (57) VILLAIN pushes ALL-IN (129.35), HERO calls. VILLAIN shows As Ac Js 4c. Villain is a 28/21 favorite to win. Flop is 5c Kd 9d. We are now 41/8 favorite to win. Turn is Tc. River is 8c. Am I being results oriented if I think I could have possibly just called his 4bet and then repped KKxx or something else given we have position and can put the Villain on AAxx a majority of the time? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, you are. I think that villain fires a pot-sized bet out there after you smooth-call his 3-bet anyways, and the money goes in there anyways. It just seems silly to me to even consider laying down ds AAxx preflop. |

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
KKxx really cant call a 4bet here unless it is very special like KKJT ds.

Re: Suited AA vs CO 3bet deepstacked line check
nothing wrong with the way you played, all the money is going in the middle on that flop anyway even if you just call his 4-bet, i doubt he lays down after committing so much of his stack
