Default Bankroll Managment

This is what most pros recommend.

For MTTs max 2% of bankroll which will equal 40 buyins or so. For SNGs or ring games 5% Max which will equal 20 buyins or so. Bankroll will dictate moving up or down limits, obv.

If you are average then perhaps move the max buy in percentages to 5% and %10 respectivly for extra breathing room...

Default Re: Bankroll Managment

There are many forms of mtt's . Some have more participants than others , so you may require different bankrolls for each mtt you play in . Similarly , your bankroll requirements for 6 player stt's or 9 player stt's may be different as well .

For a 9 player sng , with a 1% ror ,20% roi , and using 1.7 as an approximation for your s.d , you would need
~ -1.7^2/(2*0.2)*ln0.01 ~ 33 buy-ins .

For a 45 player mtt , your requirements would be different than for a 90 player mtt . So for a 45 player mtt , your bankroll requirements may be :

Using a s.d of ~ 2.86744 , 1% ror , and 30% win rate .

B = -2.86744^2/(0.6)*ln0.01 ~ 63 buy-ins .
