hey MSU, congrats on the win. I find it interesting that you seem to have an ultra-tight style. It seems as if almost every hand you got involved with in the first half of the tourney was at least TT/AJ or better, and most of them were played in a fairly straightforward manner. Was this a conscious decision to hang back and let the donks give you their chips when you catch big hands?

more or less this is true... i've found that making big bluffs and tricky plays in the first couple hours of the tourney just aren't worth it and alot of times simply don't work. These types of plays are generally much more worthwhile and much easier to pull off later in the tourney.

this was one of like 3 hands that i play differently. how do you know when to resteal? was there a read involved?

[/ QUOTE ]
I can't say that I had a specific read here, other than I had been pretty tight (card dead) and wanted to pick up some chips. I felt this was a pretty good spot because of stack sizes... normally I would like a bit better hand to try this but a play like this isn't about the cards...

Hello, Comments as to why you bet the turn instead of checking here after he checked? Secondly why so much comparative to his stack size. Not a criticism just wondering why and what you put him on.

I basically just wanted this pot. I didn't wanna see a river club so I put him all in. I've had success with aggressive bets like this. Obviously I didn't put him on the flush but sometimes you gotta get lucky. His stack was smaller than the pot size at this point anyways...

Didn't you chop? What was your take?

Congrats and nice run the other week in the Stars 1 mil also.

I imagine the chop is in the HH but I'm too freaking lazy.

thank you very much for your reply, and thank you also for the hand histories. They are terrific, especially the preflop play after you get over 150k.
