Welcome to the Commerce Casino.

2/3 100 Min/MAX
3/5 200 Min/Max NL

[/ QUOTE ]

1 - commerce isnt a real casino and does not have the same concerns about driving away pit degenerates and slot players

2 - those games are still deeper than what i would consider super short stacked

For a long time Luxor had a 50 min/max buyin at the 1/2 NL tables. Not sure what it is today.

games like this are exactly what i mean, serious players dont like them but for walk in tourists that want to play NL holdem like on TV, this is PERFECT especially considering the average tourist is betting red chips at the BJ table anyway

My local casinos have a max buy-in of $60 for 1/2, then it bumps up to $300 for 1/3. Which is a large difference.

[/ QUOTE ]

$60 for 1/2? How lame is that... just go straight to the 1/3 game.

[/ QUOTE ]

I usually do. I played the 1/2 for a while, but I couldn't stand the immense short-stacking. The 2-5 tables all have $1,000 max's, which is so very enticing.

I f.ckin HATE that Luxor game.
I swore off that crap game a long time ago.
Then went back once and swore it off again.

But yeah, I agree, for the clueless tourist, OMG THEY PLAYED UNLIMITED HOLDEM. I personally would rather drink bleach than play a game like that ever again, though. If I feel like playing retard poker, I'll play the Sahara.

does anyone from the casino industry have any insight as to why casinos wouldnt do this? (especially the ones lacking real competition like f'woods and turning stone and casino AZ)
