creamfillin

I have played > 40k hands of 10NL. Villains do call the cbet with hands you beat here.

Standard cont. bet on flop, and you actually have a pair.

56, 66, 55, 33, 22. A lot of the time they call with Ax too. Trust me. Also, the information part does have some merit although the main objective is value.

Another thing: are you gonna bet flops only when you have total air or TPTK+, and check behind whenever you have mid pairs and showdown value [censored]? Think about the consequences of this.

I'm not betting the flop because there are virtually no hands that call that I beat, and I might get played back at light on a flop like this in a blind war.

Raised pot against blind, standard c-bet 100% of the time with top pair... we're probably getting called super light(air 90% of the time), not raised light imo.

We also don't want this hand to continue and we want to take it down now, on the flop, because we don't want to make tough decisions on later streets which is exactly what happened here

it was folded to villain who limp called from the sb, who knows what he will call a cbet w/. winning the pot here is hardly a bad thing as you are unlikely to have great sd if this gets to the river.

By checking you are giving up on the hand. Would you fold turn if it would have been an overcard and villain bets? The only turn cards that are not that dangerous to you are 2 and 5. Everything else makes your future decisions harder. I think in this situation it's better to try to win the pot now.
